Honda is on track to celebrate the S2000’s eighth anniversary with a special edition of the roadster called the Club Racer
24th March 2007
Debuting at next month’s New York Motor Show, the car will hit the road in the US in the autumn.
The Club Racer’s specification is still a secret, but Honda has admitted that the special S2000 will feature new aerodynamic bodywork, as well as lightweight panels for the bonnet, doors and boot.
Engineered to meet the demands of track drivers, the car will also get a tuned engine and revised suspension. Prices are secret and interested UK buyers could face a long wait for the newcomer. A Honda spokesperson said: “There are currently no plans to import the Club Racer, but production of the S2000 will continue for at least another 18 months.”
