2011 Lamborghini Super Sport Cars Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition

The LP570-4 Blancpain Edition was presented today by Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, and Marc A. Hayek, President and CEO of Blancpain, at the final race weekend of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo in the “Piero Taruffi” circuit, Vallelunga. The road-legal Blancpain Edition celebrates the two-year relationship between the Italian supercar brand and the watchmaker. Lamborghini’s partnership with Blancpain, the watch maker, is no longer limited to the Super Trofeo racing series as they unveiled together the first road-going Blancpain edition Lamborghini Gallardo.
The new features of the 2011 Lamborghini Super Sport Cars Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition are easily noticeable. It comes with a huge front bumper, massive rear spoiler and diffuser, and new side skirts. These bits are all inspired by the actual racing car, but they look a bit too aggressive for a road car. One other feature derived from the racing model is the new engine cover, which is optimized for better ventilation, and looks superb!
2011 Lamborghini Super Sport Cars Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition
Lamborghini super sports cars is extremely happy about its cooperation with Blancpain. In just its second year, the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo has established itself in the premier league of gentlemen’s racing,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “Each race is a battle of dedication and passion for every single hundredth of a second – something that characterizes both of our brands. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Blancpain Edition demonstrates the close bond between our road-going super sports cars and the race car.”
The engine that powers the Gallardo Blancpain is the same V10 unit from the series Superleggera production car which churns out 570 hp. Given the 1340 kilograms (2954 lb) weight of the car which results in power-to-weight ratio of 2.35 kilograms (5.18 lb) per hp, this car is capable of going from zero to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4 seconds and flies past the 200 km/h (124 mph) mark only 6.8 seconds later, ultimately exceeding 320 km/h (199 mph).
Blancpain is the title sponsor of the successful Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series. The cooperation between these two brands brings together the highest levels of engineering excellence from the automotive and chronometry industries. Blancpain has been producing innovative masterpieces of watch-making art in Switzerland’s Vallée de Joux since 1735. Each timepiece is assembled by one single watchmaker, reflecting the quality and individual attention with which Lamborghini builds its super sports cars for the road, and its 570 hp Super Trofeo race cars.
Abaut Lamborghini Gallardo : The Lamborghini Gallardo (Italian pronunciation: [ga'?arðo][citation needed]) is a sports car built by Lamborghini. The Gallardo is Lamborghini's most-produced model to date, with over 10,000 built in its first seven years of production. Each car costs about $180,000 to $210,000. The car is named after a famous breed of fighting bull. The Spanish word gallardo  translates into "gallant".
The Gallardo offers two choices of transmissions, a conventional (H-Box) six-speed manual transmission, and an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulically controlled semi-automatic robotized manual, which Lamborghini abbreviates to "E-gear". The "E-gear" allows the driver to make shifts much faster than a manual transmission would. The driver shifts up and down via paddles behind the steering wheel, but also has an automatic mode.
The car will be exhibited at the Paris Motor Show.

Car Tuning

There are different equipments that speed enthusiasts can attached to their car’s engine to boost power. One of them is what you call turbochargers. Plainly speaking, turbochargers are pumps that collect and compress air into the cylinder. By compressing the air, it allows more air to fit into the cylinder, creating more power because of the increase in combustibility of air-fuel mixture. There are turbo kits available for different cars that are commonly modified for racing. The kits normally include manifolds, down pipes, intercooler, turbo, waste gate, blow off valve, fittings, and tubings, depending on the car make or model.

You can also get a turbo for your car from among different manufacturers such as HKS, Blitz, Greddy, and Garrett. Each manufacturer has different specifications of their turbos, therefore it is important to know which one fits your engine. Intercoolers usually go with turbos. Intercoolers make the compressed air cooler so that the cylinders can take in more air to increase horsepower.
Turbo boost controllers are used to increase the boost pressure of turbos. You can choose from industry leaders including HKS, Blitz, Greddy, and Turbosmart. They offer turbo boost controllers with different features and specifications. Some even allow you to program boost curves to vehicle speed.
Other turbo accessories include boost gauges and turbo timers. Boost gauges practically allows you to monitor boost levels, while turbo timers keeps your engine running for a specified time, giving the turbo time to cool down. It automatically switches off your engine after the preset time has lapsed.
Superchargers are just basically like turbochargers in function and use. The difference between the two lies in what run the air pumps. Superchargers are belt driven while turbochargers get power from the exhaust gas. It is simpler to install a supercharger than turbocharger because it has fewer parts than the latter. However, turbochargers are still preferred by most boost-hungry drivers due to its market availability. This means that drivers will not have a hard time looking for a turbo that will match with their engine.
Nitrous Oxide Systems (NOS) provides extra oxygen to burn more fuel resulting to increased energy and power. Nitrous Oxide is stored in its liquid form inside a highly pressurized container, but comes out of it in vapor form. It is injected into the engine’s intake valve, breaks down into its basic components of nitrogen and oxygen upon reaching a certain temperature level, producing more oxygen to burn more fuel, resulting in increased horsepower. This is excluding the power gain resulting from the inherent cooling property of nitrous oxide. A power boost of 100 to 300 percent over stock is not impossible with NOS.
What’s good about NOS is that is it versatile. You can use it in one car, take it out and install it in another without hassle. You can use NOS only when you need it; meaning you can use your car in its normal state saving you some gas money.

2010 Jaguar Sport Cars XKR GT2

GT racing legend Paul Gentilozzi is taking a break from a gruelling development programme to feature the XKR in the largest dedicated trade motorsport exhibition in Europe. The racecar will be on display at the Jaguar sport cars stand alongside a production model XKR, XFR, and the fastest Jaguar ever – the Bonneville XFR prototype, which Paul drove to 225.675 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats in 2008.
Rocketsports Racing officially announced a GT2 program for the American Le Mans Series that will see the East Lansing, Michigan-based team reunite with the Jaguar sport cars brand by entering a Jaguar XKR for a partial season in 2009 with a full-season championship effort in 2010. Jaguar asked the Michigan-based RSR team to help create a race car to compete in GT2 racing in 2010. The Jaguar sport cars engineering and design teams, based in Coventry, have jointly developed the car from a standard road-going XKR with the RSR team. It is the first and only chance for the public to see the stunning new 2010 Jaguar Sport Cars XKR GT2 in the metal before it heads back to the US to compete in the entire 2010 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) in North America.
“It has been difficult to be out of competitive racing for nearly a year,” said RSR team owner Paul Gentilozzi. “We are most fortunate to be able to return to what we know, winning sportscar championships."
RSR will be entering the ALMS with Jaguar as a technical and marketing partner. Jaguar has provided vital engineering, information and support to assist the team in the homologation and construction process. Construction of the Jaguar XKR is near completion at the RSR facility. A parallel engine development process is also underway for the new AJ-133 direct injected 5-liter normally aspirated engine.
